  • How do I manage my new extensions?
Do not add heavy oils. This will end up weighing down the hair and the hair will become stiff. Wash with cold or warm water, never hot. Wash extensions every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain the cleanliness and brilliance of the hair. Do not over process hair. This means you should only do up to 2 color processes on the hair. An example of this is 1 process of bleach on natural colored extensions and a follow up dye to acheive the desired results is acceptable. Do not leave any bleach, dye, or color remover on hair for longer than 1 hour. Brush hair from bottom to top to avoid breakage.
  • What is the difference between a closure, frontal, and a 360 frontal?"
A closure is the smallest hair piece that can be used to create the look of a part on any location of the scalp. Sizes vary from 5x5 inches to 6x6 inches when available. These are the easiest hair pieces for begginners to use compared to the frontal and the 360 frontal. However, once it is sewn down, the places you can wear your part at are limited. A frontal is similar to a closure but extends from ear to ear. This gives the ability to create multiple parts along the hair line. The frontal may be used to create regular parts or achieve a half ponytail or cornroll hairstyle. The frontal is for those customers who are more comfortable in their hair dressing skills compared to the basic closure. Sizes vary from 13x4, 13x5, and 13x6 when available. Becuase the frontal streches from ear to ear it has to be custom plucked and cut to fit to the customers scalp and achieve a more realistic look. It may be difficult for the average person to install this and create baby hairs for everyday wear. A strong gel or a wig glue should be used to secure the lace to the scalp. If you do not have experience with the frontal, it is highly suggested that you go to a salon to have it installed. A 360 frontal is similar to the frontal but wraps around the entire peremiter of the hair line from front to back. This can be used to create an up-do or ponytail with your extensions. It may be difficult for the average person to install this to recreate the entire hair line. A strong gel or a wig glue should be used to secure the lace to the scalp. If you do not have experience with the 360 frontal, it is highly suggested that you go to a salon to have it installed.
